Miguel Forbes

Mr. Forbes is the Vice Chairman of the Forbes Family Trust, a New York headquartered investment company. The Forbes Family Trust, which merged with LGL partners, focuses on providing services to high-net-worth clientele. Mr. Forbes is the Executive Chairman of the Zero Gravity Corp, an aviation business. Forbes sits on the board of a number of high growth companies as a business advisor.

Since his co-founding of Forbes.com in 1996, Mr. Forbes has expanded the Forbes brand and its influence at a global scale.

 

In 2000, he was appointed as the Forbes Vice President of Business Development. While holding this position, he launched nine foreign editions of Forbes in Korea, Russia, China, Arabia, Israel, Poland, Turkey, Romania, and Croatia. Two years later, he was instrumental in launching additional Forbes editions in Spain and Hungary.

 

In 2011, Mr. Forbes co-founded Startle.com, the online home of the Forbes Travel Guide with Jeff Arnold (founder of WebMD). In 2014, Mr. Forbes initiated a partnership with Lotaris, a payment solutions provider, in order to establish Forbes Digital Commerce. Forbes Digital Commerce focuses on mobile payment applications.

Mr. Forbes then served as Forbes President of Worldwide Development of Forbes Media LLC. Mr. Forbes extended the Forbes brand into the financial services industry through the creation of the Forbes Private Capital Group. The Forbes Private Capital Group raises capital for hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, and for direct investments. He further expanded the Forbes brand into online education and real estate ventures.

In addition to his successful expansion of the Forbes brand, Mr. Forbes was the Chairman of Membership of YPO in New York. With a strong passion for leadership development, in 2005, Mr. Forbes became a member of the Young Global Leaders, a division of the World Economic Forum. The YGL consists of under-forty-year-old leaders who collaborate to create a dynamic global community to drive positive change in the world. In 2017, Forbes also co-founded Planetary Power, a sustainable energy company, to address global energy challenges with affordable renewable power.

Mr. Forbes attended New York University and was appointed to the New York University President’s Global Council.
